Six Ways to Use FIN Lancer for Compliance & Business Tasks

April 7, 2020.   FIN Lancer is a tool for firms to share documents, delegate tasks, send communications, and prepare e-contracts with advisors, reps, consultants, staff, client, vendors, and other investment advisors.  
FIN Lancer is now integrated onto our compliance management dashboard at: FINCompliance.io

Six ways to Use our Business Management Portal 

1 - Share ADV Documents with your team via Project or Client Center.
2 - Share sensitive files/folders with your compliance or operations staff.
3 – Send annual ADV/public disclosure documents* via email or link (for non-secure/public records). 
4 - Enter your Paypal.me link to send invoices to vendors.
5 - Access our E-Contracts plugin to send new or updated agreements to clients.
6 - Add your Profile to FIN Lancer Advisor Directory to connect w/ other firms.















Tools/Systems uses in FIN Lancer include:

File Sharing to other system users (compliance/operations staff)
(sending docs to users w or w/o sensitive information)

Steps:

1 - Create Folder Name in Client or Project Center
2 - Click on click on Black symbol (under tools)  to add a user
3 - See add users screen
4 - Click on a Folder to add/view files
5 - Drag/Drop files from your desktop or directory
File Sharing with links for public documents (ADV/general disclosure documents)
(sending docs via email w/ no sensitive information or encryption needed)

Steps:

1 - Go to File Listings (Drag/Drop section)
2 - Click on to share open link with anyone (not secure)


Integrate your firm Paypal.me link (billing vendors)
(vendors/not for client billing)

Steps:

1 - Go to Invoicing/Billing (Drag/Drop section)
2 - Add Paypal.me link (see instructions or go to https://www.paypal.me/)
3- Create invoice and send to vendors








Using E-Contracts Plugin (for clients, vendors, or other third-party agreements)

Steps:

1 - Click on E-Contracts tab
2 - Select Add New Document to create contracts
3 - Follow links to create, send, and track contracts.
4 - Enter Email information of user/sender
5 - Enter contract/agreement information and send for signing

Creating an Advisor Directory Profile 
(For partnerships, third party solicitors, continuity, or other business relationship building)

Steps:

1 - Login to your Premium or Premium Plus account: FINCompliance.io  
2 - Click on FIN Lancer tab
3 - Click on Advisor Directory
4 - Add/edit a business profile
5 - Profile featured on Advisor Directory


Need to consider partnerships, solicitor arrangements, or business continuity plans with other firms in light of Covid - 19 or other vulnerabilities? --consider signing up for a profile to link with other firms.

Our Approach

Compliance Management - We work with companies who are seeking to manage their compliance obligations - serving more than 175+ firms with compliance services and a system of SEC and state regulatory resources located on one site.

Business Management - We provide firms with task-management processes and a business directory to connect with other firms for continuity, succession planning, partnerships, and deal flow.  Also, we have a small network of referral partners for practice management, operations workflows, accounting, and website design.

Needs Analysis Workflow - We work with firms in determining their compliance management priorities.  During/after a need’s analysis, we provide firms with compliance/business service options to address those needs and will provide firms with sample workflows for task delegation purposes.

Audit Preparation - We help firms in addressing compliance deficiencies while acting as an intermediary for resolving issues between (you) the advisor and regulators/examiners. We can also assist firms in audit prep measures.

Regulatory Changes - We research regulatory updates from state, SEC, and/or FINRA jurisdictions. We’re here to help as some rules/regulations may be amended over time.
